Welcome to our Adventure!
I used to have a blog - back when it was a “thing”, kinda before Facebook was crazy, around the time Twitter took off, and definitely pre-Instagram and Snapchat. See, I’m a xennial which means I’m the very-very-very early millennial who still had *69 and caller ID on their home landline in high school, but had a cell phone in college.
So, I started a blog as a fun project back in 2008. I began working for an airline and wanted to document our travels and give our family an easy place to see our pictures. Ha. (Well, I DID do that, plus more.)
Just a few months later, Northwest merged with Delta, who allowed us to relocate with only a few months under my belt, which required us to sell our first home in Minnesota after 10 months (in 2009: spoiler alert, we lost money), which gave us the option to buy a new house, and offered me a new job with Delta, in Atlanta.
Here we are, 10 years later, fully adult-ing and nearly 40. Well, Jeff is nearer than me … ahem, I’m 38 and a half. We’ve got two kids, Ethan (5) and Sarah (3), and live in that same home in Atlanta from 2009, I’m still working for Delta, and we’re being super suburbanites.
Except we’re not. Not really. We have a sense of adventure, exploration, and desire to do something more than soccer on Saturdays (which is great, but meh for me). So we started traveling the world with Delta starting in 2009. Then we bought a camper in 2012, had a baby in 2014, had another baby in 2016, bought a different camper in 2017, and now got our Traveling Castle in February 2019.
I started working with an AMAZING coach around the same time this year (2019), who is helping me understand my “core gifts”, how they can be in service to humanity and the planet, and how to let my soul guide me at least as much as my brain!
Combining my love of experiences with my core gifts (connector, collector, and puzzler) has led me to share my brain waves with of you, beloved interneters. So please be nice. We’re trying hard(ish) over here.
